Joe and Julie Sadlier started Eco-Tech over fifteen years ago in McHenry, IL. The business was later moved to Burlington, WI, a rural community located between Milwaukee, WI and Chicago, IL. Later the plant in Genoa City, WI was added. Eco-Tech remains a small, privately owned business.

Since its inception, recycling plastics has been the heart of the business and in the hearts of the owners and employees. Recycling is the key to keeping prices low and we feel we’re helping to lower the impact on the environment. Whenever possible, the material ground and washed in our Genoa City operation is used versus purchasing outside materials. Eco-Tech remains a small, privately owned business.

Eco-Tech, one of the oldest PE (Polyethylene) lumber manufacturers in the US, has diverted over 24 billion liquid containers from landfills since 1993, and saved over 100,000 acres of forest in the process.

Eco-Tech products are produced from a number of post-consumer and pre-consumer sources. These raw materials are purchased from locations throughout North America. Using these raw materials as a base Eco-Tech’s lumber contain a minimum of 95% recycled plastics. The balance comes from colorants, stabilizers and processing aids added to give Eco-Tech’s lumber a uniform color, texture, and physical properties. Those properties, and our commitment to producing a high quality recycled plastic lumber, has made Eco-Tech a leader in its industry.

Eco-Tech is one of the only companies still processing 100% PE lumber with no fillers, or composites. This keeps our lumber from absorbing moisture, chemicals, or bacteria. This commitment to 100% PE gives Eco-Tech lumber impact and break resistance that is second to none in the plastic lumber market. Eco-Tech’s lumber has become the standard to which everyone else is measured.
